The IP address is the unique number allocated to a computer/device on the internet.
Normally expressed in a notation xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx an IP address can be used to trace
the country and approximate location of a internet user.
IP Addresses are provided
by internet registries and assigned in blocks to ISP's. Registries are split into 5 geographical areas; ARIN(North America), RIPE (Europe),
APNIC (Asia/Pacific),AFRINIC(africa) and LACNIC(Latin America).
By determining which
block an IP is in we can find out which country the IP is from and in some circumstances
find out the actual address of the organisition using the address.
We provide this utility for FREE enabling you to investigate the background
of an IP.
We hope you enjoy using this utility.
